Andrea Incerti-Vezzani

Portrait & Food Shoot

For my new book project, “Emilia-Romagna,” I visited Andrea and his team at his restaurant, Ca’ Matilde.
One star for the cuisine and a green star for its sustainability, since almost all the vegetables come from their own garden. I’m not just interested in what ends up on the plate, but also in the people, products and ideas that shape a kitchen. This photographic story combines portraits, glimpses into everyday working life and the restaurant’s dishes.

Bam! Spray Artists

Portrait Photo Project

Analogue photography using a 4x5" large-format camera to capture portraits of the artists at the Essigfabrik. Spray artists tend to work ‘behind the scenes’ and prefer to remain unrecognised. What matters is the artwork on the wall.

Food Stills

I spend a lot of time travelling to shoot with chefs in their kitchens. You never know exactly what to expect; in contrast, it’s a pleasure to work in the studio and focus on creating a free-form food photography series.

Inside kitchen with tv celebrity chef Frank Rosin

Frank Rosin: For Frank Rosin’s cookbook, the photo shoot with him was to take place near his restaurant. Stylist Julia Hildebrand packed all the necessary crockery and props into the car. On top of that, we added the studio lighting equipment and set off for Dortmund to shoot in the kitchen of a hired studio. Despite a tight schedule, we produced more than 20 striking portraits for a cookery book, published by Dorling Kindersley.
